    IAPMO EGS listings are accepted nationally by jurisdictions with additional recognition by OSHA, State of Oregon, Ohio, North Carolina and Washington, City of Chicago and Los Angeles, and LA and Clark County.

    Yes, using the EGS shield mark on your advertisement is one of the benefits of being listed with IAPMO EGS. In fact, IAPMO EGS encourages all manufacturers to do so. Please contact EGS engineer for more details.

     

    Depending on inspector availability, we hope to conduct the IPI within 30 days.

    Yes, these inspections are pre-scheduled between IAPMO EGS inspector and the applicant. Please note that future regular quarterly inspections will be unannounced as required by OSHA.

    In Compliance GmbH became part of the IAPMO family in June 2026. The firm helps manufacturers understand regulatory requirements, product standards, certification pathways, and market-access considerations for plumbing products, systems, and components, including products that come into contact with drinking water. 

    In Compliance is maintained as a separate legal entity and does not perform, manage, influence, or participate in IAPMO’s conformity assessment activities. This separation is intended to safeguard impartiality and ensure that IAPMO’s testing, inspection, evaluation, technical review, and certification decisions are conducted independently and without commercial, financial, or other pressure. Personnel involved in In Compliance consulting activities are not assigned to IAPMO certification functions for the same client, product, or project.

    No. A manufacturer’s decision to use In Compliance or any other consulting provider does not result in preferential treatment, reduced requirements, a simplified review, shorter processing times, lower fees, or a more favorable certification outcome from IAPMO.

    IAPMO applies the same certification process, requirements, evaluation criteria, fees, and decision-making procedures to all applicants. Consulting services are not required or , promoted as a condition of certification, nor are they represented as providing any advantage in obtaining or maintaining IAPMO certification.
